Akkodis is partnering with a Northern California client in the Information and Educational Technology (IET) industry who is seeking a Cybersecurity Remediation Vulnerability Consultant for a 6-month temporary contract. This role is 100% remote for candidates who currently reside within CA.
The Terms:
- 6-month temporary contract (possibility to extend)
- 100% remote, within the state of CA
- Pay Range: $40-$50/hr W2
- Start date: targeting early January
- For this position, applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States. Our client is unable to sponsor or assume sponsorship of an employment Visa currently.
The Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3–4 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, vulnerability management, or IT support
- Experience with Rapid7
- Experience with patch management systems and processes
- Candidates who are pursuing their CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) or similar security certifications are preferred.
The Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Experience with vulnerability scanning and remediation using tools like Rapid7, BigFix, and CrowdStrike.
- Track down end users, provide remediation steps for unmanaged applications, and ensure vulnerabilities are resolved.
- Push out bug fixes and patches to resolve issues and improve security posture.
- Strong ability to identify and resolve cybersecurity vulnerabilities on laptops and desktops.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to research vulnerabilities and propose effective remediation steps.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with end users and guide them through remediation processes.
- Self-driven with a proactive approach to managing tasks and ensuring completion.
